Voters in Clay County who will be away from their polling places for the November 7, 2006 General Election may cast an ABSENTEE BALLOT at the Clay County
Election Board Office, 100 W. Mississippi Street in Liberty, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. through November 6, 2006. The Clay County
Annex, 1901 NE 48th Street, will be available for absentee voting Monday, October 30, 2006 through Friday, November 3, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Both locations will be open for absentee voting on Saturday, November 4, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Last day to register to vote for the November Election was October 11, 2006.
Requests for absentee ballots to be mailed must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. November 1, 2006.
Voters may stop by either office to pick up a sample ballot for the election. For further information, please call 415-VOTE (8683).

Governor Matt Blunt appointed Gerald L. Randall, Democrat, as Secretary-Treasurer of the Clay County Board of Election Commissioner, for a term ending at the pleasure of the Governor, and until his successor is duly appointed and qualified; vice Marilyn J. Schweitzer, withdrawn.
Governor Matt Blunt appointed Judith L. Beer, Democrat as a member of the Clay County Board of Election Commissioners, for a term ending June 15, 2009, and until her successor is duly appointed and qualified; vice, Stuart Hunt, term expired.

| | June 22, 2005 | Governor Matt Blunt appointed Jesse J. Camacho (R) to the Clay County Board of Election Commission. Jesse term runs through June 15, 2009. He replaced republican member Marilyn J. Schweitzer whose term expired June 15, 2005.

| June 4, 2005 | Beginning June 4, 2005 Clay County Election Board will no longer hold voter registrations on Saturdays at the Antioch Mall. The City of North Kansas City has agreed to accommodate Clay County residents who wish to register or make changes to their registrations by allowing a registrar at the North Kansas City Community Center on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

| January 2004 | Washington 1 precinct was split and a new precinct added, Washington 3. Voters living East of Kearney and West of of Excelsior Springs that received a new voter card should check their cards carefully because you may now have a new precinct name and polling location.

| August 7, 2003 | Governor Bob Holden reappointed Jim Chappel (R), and Gerald Randall (D) to the Clay County Board of Elections Commissioner. Both were originally appointed in May 2002 and have been reappointed to serve a full four year term.
